Did you know that about 100,000,000 clothes are produced every year, and that we use them 7 times on average before throwing them away?
The kind of fashion you can find in “classic” clothing shops is based on a linear system: produce – many times in countries where labour is much cheaper and hired under inhuman conditions -, use and throw away.
According to the BBC, the average American throws away 37kg of clothes every year, and most of it ends up in landfills. This makes the fashion industry the second largest polluter in the world.
Enjoy fashion in an eco-friendly way: be part of the solution, not OF the problem
If these data concern you and you’d like to take care of the environment while enjoying fresh and original outfits, you have come to the right place: welcome to Miren Edurne, upcycling fashion.
Miren Edurne
FASHION DESIGNER
Hello there! If you’re here it must mean you’re looking for solutions to reduce your impact on the environment, too. I’ll tell you about my project: I do upcycling, i.e a creative reuse of denim fabric to turn it into new, unique, and environment-friendly clothes.
Long story made short: I can make your jeans last forever by transforming them!
As Graham Brown said: “Life is about choices. We are what we chose to be.” And I have chosen to use my creativity to give you a sustainable and original alternative to traditional fashion. Do you want to see what I do?
Sustainable clothes made from recycled denim
In my online shop, you’ll find unisex fashion made from secondhand denim and clothes.
Skilts -a unisex skirt inspired on the design of Scottish kilts -, bumbags, purses, bandanas…
I give a new life to your clothes and turn them into original clothes without micro-seasons.
We will build our future with our own hands: welcome to the world of upcycling!
